Job Summary

Charming Charlie is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager who is passionate, results-oriented with an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset to join the re-launch of our organization. The Assistant Sales Manager will have the primary responsibility for managing all aspects of a Charming Charlie retail store. This key position will create a selling environment that is focused on the customer experience and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the store. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the General Sales Manager with hiring, training, and developing a high performing team that creates a winning culture. In this position, you must exemplify our core values and demonstrate the ability to work with ambiguity. A minimum of 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric environment is required. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a small business field is beneficial.

General Accountabilities

Assist with overall recruiting, staffing, and scheduling efforts to maximize sales and productivity
Motivate, coach and retain a high performing team
Lead and model all company core values
Create a winning culture-in-store for all leaders and associates
Analyze daily/weekly business reports; identify opportunities to improve KPIs and increase sales revenue
Lead and model accountability for sales performance; use key business and financial indicators to monitor individual and team process
Maintain financial aspects of the store including payroll, scheduling, inventory, and budgetary guidelines
Maintain store presentation and visual standards; always aesthetically appealing for the customer experience
Deliver a memorable customer experience to ensure customer satisfaction; resolve dissatisfied customers per company guidelines as needed
Adhere to all company policies and procedures; hold staff accountable to the same expectation
Effectively communicate to store team, corporate partners and customers
Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts
Be able to adapt to shifting company priorities to support business development, growth, and increased profitability

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of a high school diploma. Candidates with associate’s or bachelor’s degrees will be given preference
Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric environment is required; Retail is a plus
Demonstrate self-reliance and resourcefulness
Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
Customer service-oriented attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication
Active listening
Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and oftentimes high-pressure environment
